Dishonorable!!!

December 18, 2010

The Repeal of the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy on gays serving in the military just cleared a major hurdle forward in the Senate, and the current forecast is that it will pass next week - just in time for Christmas. Happy birthday Jesus!

Studies have shown that as many as 2/3 of experienced combat servicemen, particularly those in the officer corps (and Obama, the "p" is silent) will strongly consider leaving the military if DADT is repealed. So, we're going to lose honorable and capable men because we're going to allow a perverse politically-motivated policy to be promoted now? There is no honor in Washington!

We've been so focused on the monetary tyranny that we let moral tyranny sneak up on us. However, there's still time. The vote today allowed the ban on DADT to move forward, but it hasn't actually been passed yet. Just like the so-called "Omnibus" spending bill, it is possible to still defeat this madness. If your senator voted to end the debate, call him or her and raise holy hell!

Once this gets passed, it'll be almost impossible to reverse course. Call your friends, particularly if you know someone whose senator is thinking poorly on this subject.

One more thing - this START treaty needs to be slowed down. Why? We don't know what all's in this thing, and we need to find out. Let the new Congress take it up. Just the fact that Harry Reid wants it to pass is enough for me to say "no"!!
